Background
Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit a Teaching and Learning Officer based in Arua.
You will be responsible for ensuring quality professional development and gender-responsive learning environments, improving outcomes for adolescents, particularly girls, across secondary schools in Arua (WestNile region) by enhancing teacher skills, supporting inclusive education, and strengthening school leadership.
Your Tasks:
- You lead and coordinate teacher professional development through training, coaching, and mentoring to enhance pedagogy, curriculum implementation, and inclusive teaching practices.
- You support school leadership and management improvement, promoting gender-responsive, safe, and learner-friendly environments in secondary schools.
- You drive stakeholder collaboration and project implementation ensuring effective planning, execution, and monitoring of teaching and learning activities aligned with project goals.
- You ensure quality assurance and knowledge sharing by supporting monitoring and evaluation, contributing to policy advocacy, and promoting the use of data and best practices in teaching and learning

Annual Salary range: 90,000,000 - 96,000,000
Person Specifications
- Master’s degree in Education or related field, with strong grounding in teaching and learning.
- At least 5 years’ experience in curriculum design, teacher development, and education project implementation.
- Skilled in training, mentoring, and facilitating participatory, multi-stakeholder processes.
- Proficient in data-driven monitoring and evaluation using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Strong communication, presentation, and digital literacy skills.
- Proven ability to build partnerships and engage effectively with education authorities.
- Committed to inclusive, gender-responsive education
