It focuses on inclusive and sustainable economic development, human development, the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights and respect for fundamental rights.

 

Enabel Guinea is looking for a Country People & Talent Manager to strengthen its team.

 

 

Job description

 

The Country People & Talent Manager is responsible for translating and implementing Enabel's People & Talent (P&T) strategy in the national context. This role ensures that HR practices actively support the organisation's mission, foster an inclusive and high-performance environment, and are aligned with both local realities and the global transformation agenda.

 

As P&T Manager in Guinea:

 

  • You will ensure that HR operations are managed effectively at country level, ensuring consistency, compliance and alignment with Enabel's strategic objectives: plan staffing needs and support budget development, ensure consistent implementation of HR strategies, advise and support managers in the application of HR processes...

  • You will ensure the compliance and efficiency of HR processes for national staff: manage local administrative processes, act as the local HR contact point for expatriates, oversee administrative and logistical integration, ensure compliance with local laws and internal rules;

  • You will ensure that employees are supported in their development and wellbeing through learning opportunities and a culture of continuous growth;

  • You will ensure a high level of engagement and retention by regularly monitoring indicators, reinforcing the workplace culture, identifying and reducing the causes of turnover, and implementing succession planning and internal talent development actions;

  • You will provide managers with the necessary knowledge and tools by offering advice in line with the Code of Conduct, training and coaching them, acting as a strategic HR advisor, and supporting performance management through the definition of clear objectives;

  • You will ensure that organisational changes are implemented effectively by steering HR transformation initiatives and supporting managers and their teams throughout the process.

 

The P&T Manager reports directly to the Country Director. He or she is a member of the Management Board in Guinea, and works in close partnership with the HR experts in Brussels, and the Regional P&T Business Partner in particular.

 

 

Your profile

 

Required qualifications

 

  • Master's degree in human resources or another discipline with a specialisation in human resources.

 

Required experience

 

  • Proven experience in operational human resources management, including recruitment, performance management, coaching and change management, ideally in an international/multicultural context.

 

 

Required skills and knowledge

 

  • You are familiar with operational HR management, HR administration and compliance issues.

  • You are comfortable advising and coaching managers, and managing change.

  • You are familiar with the analysis and use of HR data.

  • You will be innovative and actively contribute to improving HR practices in collaborative governance and distributed leadership, promoting an inclusive and agile culture, initiatives to improve the employee experience, innovative approaches to talent management and engagement.

  • You have a strong intercultural awareness and your values include ethics and integrity.

  • You have a good knowledge of international HR practices.

  • You have solid communication skills, the ability to build trust and facilitate dialogue in a complex environment.

  • You have excellent ability to adapt and are eager to acquire new skills and knowledge.

  • You are fluent in spoken and written French and English.

  • Knowledge of the country's social legislation is an asset.

We offer you

 

  • A stimulating and fulfilling role in an international environment.

  • A contract of 24 months. You are based in Conakry.

  • The salary package of this function corresponds to our salary scales (Class 6) and comprises the monthly gross salary as well as Enabel expatriate benefits such as a remoteness, assignment and hardship allowance, (capped) coverage of housing expenses, a moving compensation, an installation compensation, (capped) coverage of school expenses for children accompanying, an insurance package for the whole family, including repatriation insurance, and an annual round-trip flight ticket for each family member.

  • In case of expatriation without the (dependent) members of the family, up to six additional round-trip flight tickets to the country of origin or another destination (capped in accordance with Enabel rules).


The amounts vary in function of relevant recognised experience for the function and family composition.
