Job description

 

As a Regional People & Talent Business Partner, you will report to the People & Talent Business Partner Manager in Brussels. You will be a vital link between the People & Talent department and the broader business, to ensure seamless alignment of our initiatives with the organization’s goals. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a positive organizational culture, advancing strategic objectives, and driving operational excellence across Enabel’s countries. By implementing impactful People & Talent strategies, you will significantly contribute to our overall success across four distinct clusters: 

 

  • Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East (no positions available)
  • West Africa & the Sahel (2 positions available)
  • Eastern & Southern Africa, including the Great Lakes Region (1 position available)
  • Central Africa, with a focus on the Democratic Republic of the Congo (1 position available)

 

Regular travel within your designated cluster—whether to various countries or provinces (for the DRC)—will be an essential part of your role, ensuring seamless integration and impactful support across all regions.


Responsibilities: 

  • You align People & Talent strategies with business goals, leveraging data to drive improvements and ensure coherent practices across your cluster of countries.
  • You monitor and assess key People & Talent metrics to inform strategic decisions and align with organizational objectives.
  • You collaborate with People & Talent Managers to ensure compliance with local laws and provide expert advice and coaching to stakeholders within your cluster.
  • You lead change management initiatives, promote innovation, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • You enhance employee experience and wellbeing by promoting inclusive practices and implementing DEIB strategies tailored to organizational and local needs.
  • You facilitate the professional growth of the People & Talent Managers in your cluster of countries through mentorship, and effective performance management.

Your profile

 

Required qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or a related field. 

 

Required experience 

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in HR management;
  • A solid experience managing HR initiatives in an international development context; 
  • Any relevant experience in strategic HR business partnering will be considered an asset;
  • An international experience (i.e. in the international development sector and outside your country of origin) is an asset.

 

Required skills and knowledge

  • Strategic Alignment: you are at ease with aligning People & Talent strategies with business needs, earning stakeholder trust and positioning the function as a critical success partner.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: you are expert in analysing and interpreting People & Talent data to inform decisions and evaluate initiative outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: You have a deep understanding of regional employment laws, ensuring compliance and ethical practices.
  • Workforce Planning: You are adept at forecasting workforce needs and strategically deploying talent to support organizational growth.
  • DEIB Advocacy: You promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging by creating a supportive environment that values diverse perspectives, cultural backgrounds, and individual identities, ensuring that all employees feel valued and engaged.
  • Clear Communication: You break down complex ideas into clear concepts, ensuring alignment across all organizational levels.
  • Change Management: You manage organizational change effectively, tailoring strategies to diverse regional and situational needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: You build strong relationships and inspire stakeholders to support People & Talent initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: You motivate and lead teams to achieve high performance, creativity, and engagement..
  • Innovative Solutions: You anticipate trends, develop innovative solutions, and prioritize results.
  • Language knowledge : you are fluent in spoken and written French or Dutch. Considering the international environment in which you will work, excellent knowledge of English is required.

We offer you

 

  • An engaging and fulfilling role in an international environment.
  • A contract of 4 years (48 months), offering a solid foundation for your professional development. After a positive evaluation of this first period, you’ll have the opportunity to transition to an open-ended contract with international mobility.
  • You will be based in one of the capital cities within your cluster of countries, with the opportunity to transfer to another cluster after your first contract period. Priority will currently be given to the recruitment for Central Africa (DRC).
  • You will join Enabel as a "Human Resource Business Partner" with a competitive salary package, including a monthly gross salary aligned with our Class 6 salary scales.
